Rather than dividing the workplace with conventional meeting rooms, BB Design introduced freestanding acoustic pods for one-to-one conversations, sensitive discussions and focused work. Suspended acoustic elements further improve sound comfort while subtly defining the different departments within the open space. This flexible approach preserves valuable floor area while giving employees access to privacy exactly where they need it.

Starting from an empty space and the required number of workstations, BB Design developed the complete workplace layout around the teams’ daily needs. Beige and green tones introduce a fresh, elegant and calm character, evolving LHUB-ULB’s predominantly blue visual identity into a warmer workplace environment. The result remains distinctly professional while creating a more comfortable setting for everyday work.

With a fixed move-in date, procurement, delivery and installation required precise coordination. BB Design managed the workplace design, furniture and acoustic specifications, suppliers and project planning, prioritising critical elements to keep the project on schedule. The finished space demonstrates how smart planning and flexible acoustic solutions can make a compact office work harder without making it feel crowded.
