A neutral material palette sets the tone throughout the coffee shop. Continuous clay-lime-inspired finishes across walls and floors are paired with custom carpentry, bespoke furniture and carefully considered lighting to create a warm and cohesive atmosphere. At the heart of the space, the custom-designed coffee bar becomes both a functional workspace and a defining visual element — translating Nine Coffee’s identity into an interior that feels distinctive, welcoming and considered.

Behind the minimal interior lies a highly technical fit-out. Every piece of coffee equipment required precise power and socket planning, alongside a new electrical board, integrated IT infrastructure, specialist acoustic treatment and fire-safety compliance. BB Design coordinated the complete process — from space planning and lighting to custom furniture, electrical works and specialist partners — seamlessly integrating the technical requirements into the overall coffee shop design.

The success of Nine Coffee shows how hospitality interior design can contribute directly to the appeal of a concept. Despite its location outside central Brussels, customers specifically travel to Wemmel to visit the café, and the space is regularly full.
